Activities requiring registration
Reykjavík Public Health confirms registrations for activities requiring registration.
Please note that before applying for registration, applicants must obtain confirmation from the Building Commissioner that their premises and operations comply with planning requirements and building regulations.
Regulation, conditions, and registration
Regulation on mandatory registration of operations came into effect on November 15, 2022
- Regulation No. 830/2022 on Businesses Subject to Professional Registration under the Act on Hygiene and Pollution Prevention
- Conditions for activities requiring registration
With the Regulation's entry into force, 50 categories of operations are now required to register according to the appendix in the Regulation. Such activities must be registered at www.island.is before operations begin. Reykjavík Public Health will conduct inspections and confirm registrations.
