Queerness

• The Genderbread Person is an explanatory illustration clarifying gender identity, gender expression, sex characteristics, and romantic and sexual orientation. 

• The Gender Unicorn is an explanatory illustration depicting gender identity, gender expression, sex characteristics, and romantic and emotional orientation. 

Gender roles 

• "Once upon a time" is a teaching guide where characters from familiar stories swap gender roles.

• Sex is a Funny Word is a comprehensive sex education book exploring the body, the family, and related topics.

• Chapter 2 of the natural science textbook Náttúrulega 3 covers topics like puberty and genetics. 

• "The Menstrual Cycle" is a coloring book illustrating the internal genitalia of people with a vulva along with the menstrual cycle. 

• "Sex — Girls" is a magazine answering a broad spectrum of questions regarding puberty.

• "Be Yourself" is a book celebrating diversity and the importance of embracing your true identity. 
• When Rósa Was Ragnar / When Friðrik Was Fríða is a reading book examining gender roles and equality. 
• The Princes and the Treasure is a reading book detailing the journey of two princes setting out to rescue a princess.

In Icelandic

• All Kinds of Puberty is an educational video for mid-level students covering the primary changes young people experience during puberty.

• The Substitute Teacher is an educational video addressing puberty, sexuality, and sexual health. 

• The Image of Me is an educational video exploring sexuality, personal responsibility, and online abuse. 

• Better to Speak Than Stay Silent is a UNICEF cybersecurity video. 

• Big Mouthis an animated series about sex education for mid-level and adolescent levels on Netflix. While the series can feel provocative, it remains highly popular among young people. Educators can select an episode in advance and prepare discussion questions for afterward.  

• Children Step Forward – UNICEF video where children advocate for their rights.  

• Sustainable Development Goal 5 is a program released by RÚV about Sustainable Development Goal 5, which addresses gender equality.  

• The Picture of Me is a dramatized movie in four parts, well-suited for educating students in grades 7–10th The film discusses digital sexual abuse and is based on the true story of two adolescents.  

• Stereotypes and Gendered Jobs is a video that demonstrates how ingrained children’s ideas can be about professions. A great icebreaker for discussions and further project work.  

• The Road Home (Vegurinn heim) is an Icelandic documentary with interviews with five immigrant children in Iceland.    

In English 

• Close the Gender Pay Gap is a video analyzing the gender pay gap. 

• Online Grooming is a video highlighting digital dangers. 

• If Cinderella Were a Guy is a video/icebreaker that depicts the Cinderella tale if the main character were male. Can be used as an icebreaker for discussions on gender roles and stereotypes. 

• Sexism is a short video about gender inequality and its effects on people.  

• The Ugly Truth of Children’s Books is a video that shows the representation of genders in children's books and how female characters often play one-dimensional roles while male characters are more diverse and frequently drive the story.  

• The Smurfette Principle is a short English-language video explaining the media trope where primary characters are male and women serve only in supporting roles.  

• Dove Onslaught is a video critiquing society's obsession with physical appearance and body image. 

In Nordic languages

• Pubertet is a Norwegian series detailing puberty and its accompanying changes. The episodes are short, and it's important to choose the ones that suit each occasion. They can be good icebreakers for further discussion or project work.

• Which Are You? is an interactive game designed to spark discussions about queerness and other forms of diversity.

• The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child is a Kahoot game published by UNICEF. 
• Right Runner is an English-language computer game focused on children's rights, published by UNICEF.

• Girls' Puberty is an informational website for nurses regarding puberty. 

• Youmo is a Swedish educational website focusing on puberty and young people's relationships.

• Sexual Health is a Heilsuvera website covering puberty, sexual orientation, and overall sexual health.

• Klámspjall is a Stígamót page offering educational resources and guidance for navigating conversations about pornography. 

• 112.is is the official police website featuring various educational resources regarding violence.

• What Is Endometriosis? is an informational page provided by Endó, the Endometriosis Association of Iceland.

• What Is Intersex? is the Intersex Iceland website, offering a comprehensive range of informational resources.

• Netvís is a center dedicated to social cybersecurity and media literacy, formerly known as SAFT. The center provides resources for children, staff, and immediate family members.

• Stopp ofbeldi (Stop Violence) is a website featuring age-appropriate educational materials addressing sexual and gender-based violence. 

• Stronger Into Life is a website dedicated to building the self-image of children and young people.

• Sick Love is a Stígamót prevention campaign addressing relationship violence among young people and highlighting the traits of healthy partnerships.
