About Stein Olav
Stein Olav was born on June 13, 1993, in Norway and grew up in the town of Ål in Hallingdal. He passed his matriculation exam in 2012 and moved to Trondheim, where he studied mathematics and science education. He graduated with a master's degree in mathematics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in 2018. In July of that year, he moved to Iceland to study Icelandic at the University of Iceland. Alongside his Icelandic studies, he taught mathematics at Hagaskóli in Vesturbær, Reykjavík, and continued teaching there through the spring of 2026. Stein Olav's partner is Aldís Mjöll Geirsdóttir, and they have one daughter.

While attending school and studying
in Norway, he also worked in a bookstore for a total of 10 years. He was a teaching assistant for several courses at NTNU.
